PENTECOST COMES TO BOOM ROAD
By Bernice Johnstone, Betty Cripps, Judy Matheson
THE BEGINNING
Pentecost in Boom Road spread from a movement in Lyttleton. Miss Della Carstead, who later married Rev. Guy Holmes, was the pastor of the Lyttleton church. In 1934 she felt led to conduct the first Pentecostal meeting in the Boom Road Community Hall which was located just down the road from the present church.
